Referred by AWS, Tayarlo partnered with Galactic Network —an AWS migration expert — to redesign its infrastructure for performance and resilience. By migrating its database to Amazon RDS and leveraging high-performance Amazon EBS gp3 volumes, Tayarlo achieved 90% faster batch processing, 99% crash elimination and 2× system performance, while also enabling disaster recovery through RDS read-replica.

As Tayarlo's business scaled, its privately hosted ERP system became a significant bottleneck. Batch processing and large-scale reporting suffered from extremely slow disk I/O, with jobs taking hours to complete. On multiple occasions, these operations caused the system to crash, severely disrupting business continuity.

In addition to these performance challenges, the existing infrastructure lacked disaster recovery capabilities, leaving the company vulnerable to outages. Limited infrastructure visibility and increasing manual overhead added to the strain, preventing the team from focusing on growth and innovation. Galactic Network, introduced by AWS, developed a migration strategy purpose-built to resolve Tayarlo's performance and reliability issues. The ERP database was migrated to Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), replacing the self-managed setup with a reliable, fully managed service that significantly reduced operational overhead.

To address the disk I/O bottlenecks, Tayarlo adopted Amazon Elastic Block Storage (Amazon EBS) gp3 volumes, which deliver a baseline performance of 3,000 IOPS and 125 MB/s throughput. This immediately improved storage performance, enabling the system to handle heavy batch workloads and large reporting tasks without degradation.

A key part of the solution was implementing an Amazon RDS read-replica in a separate availability zone. This not only provided disaster recovery readiness but also enhanced overall system responsiveness by offloading read-heavy workloads such as reporting and analytics. By distributing the read traffic, the primary database load was reduced, resulting in a more stable and scalable ERP system.

Finally, right-sizing of the infrastructure ensured that Tayarlo could meet its growing workload requirements efficiently, without overprovisioning resources.

The migration delivered transformative results for Tayarlo's ERP operations. Batch processing times were reduced by 90%, dropping from several hours to under 15 minutes. System stability improved dramatically, with 99% of crashes eliminatedduring reporting and peak usage periods.

Overall 2x system performance, enabling large report generation to be completed in minutes rather than hours. By implementing an Amazon RDS read-replica across multiple availability zones, Tayarlo not only established a reliable disaster recovery capability but also significantly improved read performance by offloading reporting and analytics workloads from the primary database.
